Morning Hike in Livermore - Saturday, October 13th.
Come hike the beautiful wilderness of Morgan Territory with us! Morgan Territory is just a 20 minute drive from 580. The hike is easy to moderately-easy on a dirt road. Fritzeen will be driving a van from Pleasanton and Livermore. The van will leave VBC's parking lot at 8:30am and arrive at Baja Fresh on N. Livermore (near 580) @ 8:45. The view on the drive to Morgan Territory is beautiful! We'll arrive at Morgan Territory at approximately 9:15 & from there, we hike! After our adventure together, the van will return to Livermore by 11:30am and Pleasanton by 12noon. Call Fritzeen @ 925-321-1281 to RSVP, so we know at which location to watch for you. You bring water; we'll bring snacks. Looking forward to spending time with you!

Russian River Canoe Trip
v b c w o m e n ,
you're invited on an adventure - come canoe the Russian River with us on Saturday, July 14th!
Unfolding Adventures For Women (UA4W) is taking
a group of v b c w o m e n on a journey down the Russian River. Paddle or float down a secluded, peaceful 8 mile stretch and let the Creator speak to you through His creation.
the plan: we'll carpool together and meet in Healdsburg, at the SOAR Adventures Office at 9:30am. we'll finish our adventure about 3:30pm.
instructions: wear your swimsuit or clothing you're comfortable swimming in.
bring with you: a sack lunch, water, sunscreen, towel, hat, sunglasses, camera & change of clothes for the ride home
cost: $85 _ includes canoe rental, snacks, beverages, UA4W leaders & kit
it's required that all participants know how to swim.

8:30am Meet at VBC if you'd like to carpool.
9am We'll begin our hiking adventure through Sycamore Grove Park. (If you're meeting us there, you'll find the park at 1051 Wetmore Road in Livermore.)
Cost per vehicle for the Sycamore Grove "Park"-ing Lot is $5.
Heads up: the machines only accept fives, ones & coins. They don't make change.
The hike is 2.5 miles in length on a flat paved trail.

Join us for a fun day in San Francisco! We'll begin our adventure by volunteering for a few hours at an SF food bank and then enjoy lunch and afternoon shopping at the Ferry Building Marketplace - you won't want to miss this.

7:45am meet at VBC (We'll load up into the church vans and carpool into the city - you can nap during the drive if you'd like.)
Cost: $5 (for gas) plus you'll need lunch money (or a snack lunch).
You may also enjoy bringing a water bottle with you.

Some Food Bank Details:
Our shift at the food bank is from 9am-12pm.
Some notes regarding attire...
- Closed-toe shoes are required at all volunteer projects. Anyone wearing sandals, flipflops, or any other shoe with an open toe, sadly will not be able to participate in our project.
- Because we'll be helping to repack food, please wear casual clothing, long pants, securely fastened jewelry, and comfortable (no open-toe) shoes.
- Dressing in layers is suggested, as the temperature in the warehouse is often cool.

Hear from our visiting women missionaries and gain their perspective on being in the mission field. Luanne Henderson will be sharing about her ministry to children and teen moms in the inner city of Phoenix and Kathy Craig will share about her family's ministry among those in the middle east. This is a breakfast that promises to be a meaningful time - hope you'll join us.
